PROVIDENCE – The smart-growth nonprofit Grow Smart Rhode Island will host a forum in June on “Making Transit-Oriented Development Work for Rhode Island.”
The June 15 event will focus on how Rhode Island can use public-private partnerships to advance transit-oriented development. The program is free but requires registration through the Grow Smart RI website.

A panel discussion will include the following: Martina Haggerty, special projects director for Providence, overseeing transportation issues; Jan Brodie, executive director of the Pawtucket Foundation; Amy Pettine, interim CEO of the R.I. Public Transit Authority and David Elder, a representative of CTFastrak, the publicly owned rapid bus service in Connecticut.
