Habitat duplex home under construction in Exeter

EXETER – Two families with children will purchase a duplex home under construction through South County Habitat for Humanity.

The duplex will be sold upon completion to two single women raising children. The families now live in the community. Once they move in, their mortgage expenses are expected to be around $600 a month, according to a news release.

The project is expected to be completed in July. On a recent weekend, the Rhode Island Mortgage Bankers Association helped in the construction.

Their work included removing staging, clearing debris and connecting rafters to ceiling joists.
