PAWTUCKET – A significant renovation of the newly rebranded Hampton Inn Pawtucket has been completed, including updates to all guest rooms, suites and common areas, as well as an exterior overhaul.

The only hotel in Pawtucket, it had been closed for 16 months for the renovations.

Previously, the hotel operated as a Comfort Inn, and before that, as a Howard Johnson hotel. It dates to the mid-1960s.

The Hampton Inn Pawtucket is now part of the mid-price Hampton by Hilton brand. It was purchased by owner Akshaj Hospitality LLC in 2012, and is managed by Jamsan Hotel Management.

The hotel at 2 George St. has 135 rooms, including five suites. It has two banquet rooms that can be combined into one room and accommodate up to 125 people, according to Patti McAlpine, the sales manager.

Murphy’s Law Irish Pub is attached to the facility. It remained open through the renovations, which were completed in late July.
