Harlam to join Foulkes at HBC as chief marketing officer

PROVIDENCE – Bari Harlam has been hired as the chief marketing officer for the retail business group Hudson Bay Co. and will lead the company’s Marketing Center of Excellence, the company announced Monday.

Harlam had previously worked in senior marketing roles at BJ’s Wholesale Club Inc., Upserve Inc. and CVS Health Corp., where she worked with Hudson Bay Co. CEO Helena B. Foulkes and where she built and launched CVS/pharmacy’s ExtraCare program.

“Successful marketing is grounded in analytics and digital insights, and Bari has demonstrated an innate ability to translate this complex data into breakthrough strategies that put the customer first,” stated Foulkes. “Bari is the ideal strategic leader to harness the power of our information to drive performance. Her experience will be incredibly valuable to our business as we work to reinvent the way we market and deliver unparalleled experiences to our customers across all channels. I am thrilled to welcome her to the team.”

Harlam’s appointment was immediate, replacing Milton Pappas, who left the company.
