PROVIDENCE – The 2019 Hasbro Children’s Hospital Golf Invitational raised an event-record of $343,875 for Hasbro’s Children Hospital according to the hospital. The event was held at the Rhode Island Country Club on July 22.

In a release sent out Friday, Hasbro Children’s said the invitational’s 24th year saw 34 foursomes consisting of almost 140 golfers compete, including New England Patriots players Stephen Gostowski and Joe Cardona.

Of the total raised, $24,900 will go toward benefit renovations to pediatric pre- and post-surgical areas, the hospital said.

This year, the event’s first-place team was Cox Business. Hasbro Children’s said the event attracted more than 60 sponsors and contributors.
