Historic Barrington property sells for $1.4M

BARRINGTON – The Henry Metcalf House at 35 Appian Way has sold for $1.39 million, according to Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty Wednesday.

The 3,754-square-foot waterfront property features six bedrooms and four baths and sits on 0.65 acres. The house on the property was built in 1875.

The home has a greenhouse and panoramic views of the water, including from a back porch that faces the Narragansett Bay.

The sellers were represented by Monica VanDeventer, sales associate at Mott and Chace Sotheby’s International Realty, while the buyers were represented by Lisa Schryver of Residential Properties Ltd.
