Hotel Providence again wins AAA 4 Diamonds rating

PROVIDENCE – The luxury boutique Hotel Providence, now in its third year, today announced it has earned its third consecutive AAA Four Diamond rating.
“We are very pleased to have earned this distinguished award,” said Christine Nevers, the hotel’s general manager. “It reflects on all the hard work and effort that goes into operating this luxury hotel. We owe this prestigious recognition to our diligent employees, who strive to ensure that our guests always feel at home.”
Among its other honors, Hotel Providence was named the No. 1 hotel in Rhode Island in the Zagat 2007 Top U.S. Hotels, Resorts and Spas Guide.
The hotel, on Westminster Street in the Downcity Arts and Entertainment District, opened in January 2005. Though decorated in Belle Epoch style, with antiques and oil paintings by local artists, it boasts such contemporary amenities as complimentary Wi-Fi and high-speed Internet access.
Hotel Providence includes 16 suites and 64 other guest rooms, a ballroom, meeting rooms and the award-winning L’Epicureo Ristorante, a 150-seat Italian restaurant that also has achieved the Four Diamond rating.
Restaurants and lodgings considered for AAA approval and rating undergo a thorough inspection by one of the nonprofit auto club’s 65 professional evaluators. The organization has been inspecting hotels and motels for its travel publications since 1937; its current Diamond Rating System was introduced in 1977.
