Since hitting a small peak on Dec. 3, the Dow Jones Industrial Average has lost 8.5 percent of its value (although since hitting a record on Sept. 17, the Dow has lost 11.5 percent in value). On the year, Dow investors have lost 6.4 percent. This after posting a gain in 2017 of 24.4 percent.…
