PROVIDENCE – International Game Technology PLC, a gaming technology, products and services company with offices in Providence, has signed a patent cross-license agreement with FlowPlay, based in Seattle, according to a press release.
Under terms of the agreement, FlowPlay, which develops and publishes online games, will pay ongoing licensing fees and can use IGT patented game features.
“Licensing these game features patents will help FlowPlay build on our legacy of success offering massively multiplayer online games and free-to-play social casino titles, such as Vegas World,” said Derrick Morton, FlowPlay CEO, allowing the company to reach new audiences with a broader scope of development.
“FlowPlay offers more than 45 different casino-style games already, and this agreement helps to ensure that even more of the authenticity and excitement of land-based casino gaming extends to players in the online social space,” said Renato Ascoli, IGT CEO, North America.
