Insurance group unveils $250,000 ad campaign

Independent Insurance Agents of Rhode Island has launched a $250,000 campaign in the state to promote “Trusted Choice” agencies, which offer consumers a range of insurance policies and financial services products, customized insurance coverage as well as advocacy support, the group said.

The media campaign will be on broadcast and cable television, radio, newspapers and on billboards along Route 95. Explaining the potential benefits to consumers of working with a Trusted Choice agency is the principal goal of the campaign.

At least 32 million U.S. households own insurance policies that are not right for them, according to a national survey conducted by Trusted Choice and the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America.

“We thought it was vital to make sure that consumers in Rhode Island know there are insurance professionals available to them who offer experience and personalized service with regards to what is the best insurance policy for them,” said Dennis Charland, IIARI executive vice president, in a statement.

For the ad campaign, IIARI raised nearly $100,000 from 34 agencies throughout Rhode Island and received grants from both the IIARI and IIABA. The ad campaign is being managed by JH Communications of Providence.
