NEWPORT, RI – The International Yacht Restoration School (IYRS) in Newport, R.I. has named FORGE worldwide as agency of record, according to Harry Chapin, president of the agency.  The account was awarded after a brief review of undisclosed agencies.  Billings for the account were not disclosed.

IYRS, known internationally for its marine trades programs, provides highly technical and deeply craft-oriented skills development wrapped in career skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking and teamwork.  With campuses in the heart of historic Newport and Bristol, Rhode Island, IYRS offers advanced technical training in Boatbuilding & Restoration, Marine Systems, and Composites Technology.

The FORGE team will work with IYRS to re-position the brand, execute an enrollment-marketing program and develop advertising for the trade school. New work is expected early in 2013.

“This is an important stage in our growth plan,” according to Terry Nathan, IYRS President.  “Our graduates have extraordinarily high placement rates and career outcomes.  Now we want to leverage our education model, growing the brand into a broader experiential learning center.  Forge is a key partner in this transformation.”

FORGE worldwide is a Boston-based brand strategy and advertising agency focused on forging meaningful relationships between people and brands. Other FORGE clients include SBLI, Cisco, Spaulding Rehabilitation Network, and Rockland Trust.  For more information: www.forgeworldwide.com.
