Despite being unable to completely eliminate the health insurance marketplaces – like HealthSource RI – that the Affordable Care Act ushered into existence, the Trump administration has been throwing up roadblocks to their operation. The most recent such move was the temporary halt of $10.4 billion in risk management payments to insurers across the nation, which an HSRI spokeswoman said could have a destabilizing effect on the individual health care marketplace, which is connected to company-sponsored health insurance plans through HealthSource.
