ISS recommends BankRI board nominees

PROVIDENCE – Bancorp Rhode Island Inc. (Nasdaq: BARI), the parent of Bank Rhode Island, yesterday announced that Institutional Shareholder Services has recommended shareholders vote for the company’s full slate of nominees to the board of directors.

The election is to take place at the corporation’s annual meeting, slated for Wednesday, May 16.

“We are gratified that ISS supports our board’s independent nominees and recognizes BancorpRI’s track record of delivering shareholder returns,” said Malcolm G. Chace, the board chairman since BankRI’s inception. He is also a vice president of Point Gammon Corp. Financial Services and a director of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.
