JWU students win 2018 SHRM Student Case Competition

PROVIDENCE – Five Johnson & Wales University undergraduates and two graduate human resources students won the 2018 Society for Human Resource Management Student Case Competition, which took place early this spring.

Alexis Gamache, Andrew Molina, Sardie Inxi, Lauren Riccardelli and Annabelle Brandt made up the undergraduate team while the JWU graduates competing included Zenobiya Khambati and Antonilia Anthony.

Within the competition, students are asked to participate in situations that mimic real human resources practices. Each team prepared a 15-minute oral presentation, which was judged by a panel of certified SHRM members.

“These local events also enhance students’ perspectives on the value and importance of what it means to be a member of the HR community and career partners with SHRM as they embark on their HR professional pursuits,” said Susan Post, SHRM field services director, in a statement.
