The Fourth Annual La Salle Academy Scholarship Dinner held Thursday, May 20 honoring Jack Regan (La Salle Class of 1967) held at Awagam Hunt Club was a very successful event raising more than $140,000, all of which will be used to provide full scholarships for four students based on financial need.

“We are so proud of the support that our Alumni give to this event,” said La Salle Academy President Brother Michael Mc Kenery (Class of 1957). “For four years they have been extremely generous in building a scholarship fund that secures full tuition for four students who otherwise would not be able to attend La Salle. Our Alumni are our greatest asset.”

In addition to Brother Michael, speaking at the event were the event Chairman Robert Dillon (Class of 1974), Jack Regan, Dan Lawlor (Class of 2004, former Scholarship recipient, Brown University graduate and now in charge of day-to-day operations at Gilbert Middle School in Providence for the Providence after School Alliance) and auctioneer Jim Howe (Class of 1974).

Mr. Regan grew up in Providence and following his years at La Salle he graduated from Notre Dame and New York University Law School. He is a partner at WilmerHale in Boston and he is the current President of the Boston Bar Association.
