NEWPORT — The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, hosts the 2018 Advanced Naval Technology Exercise Human Machine Interaction on Aug. 30-31.
According to a press release, the annual event was created at NUWC Newport to display and demonstrate future U.S. Navy technologies. Universities, Naval Warfare Centers and industry partners will showcase their latest unmanned systems and other innovations.
“Scientists and engineers may evaluate their technological innovations at the research and development level before they become militarized and integrated at the operational level,” said the press release.
NUWC Newport says that the ANTX HMI event is the largest since the series began in 2015. This year, over 55 participants from industry, academia and government will take part.
