Get your motor running, head out on the highway, if you’re looking for adventure we’ve got just the ride. The Blue Knight’s RI 1 annual charity run on behalf of The Katie DeCubellis Memorial Foundation is a way to rev up your engine while raising money for a great cause.

In October of 1999 a drunken driver killed thirteen year old Katie DeCubellis since then the foundation has strived to raise awareness about the dangers of driving under the influence and distracted driving.

“This event is a fund raiser to help the KDMF raise money to provide college scholarships to young adults who might not have the opportunity if it wasn’t’ for events such as this,” states Blue Knights President John O’Donnell, “This ride is near and dear to us because Katie’s grandfather is a charter member of our chapter and is one of the most respected members we have ever had the pleasure of knowing. The Blue Knights promote motorcycle and driving safety and we support the efforts of this foundation in its goal of generating public awareness of drunk driving and substance abuse.”

To date, The KDMF has awarded more than $300,000 in scholarships, prizes and donations.

“Each year, we are grateful and truly honored that the Blue Knights RI sponsor this annual motorcycle charity ride on behalf of the KDMF!, state John and Meg DeCubellis, Its members, which consist of active and retired law enforcement personnel, and our Foundation share the same objectives of reducing drunk driving fatalities, promoting responsible Driving and generally, keeping our roadways safe.

We cannot think of a organization that better fits with the KDMF’s Mission and purpose! Additionally, the event always promises to be fun and entertaining, all at the same time generating public awareness on the importance of making responsible choices. We cannot thank the Blue Knights for continuing this annual event!”
