Leibl-Cote appointed president of Collette

PAWTUCKET – Jaclyn Leibl-Cote has been appointed the first female president of Collette in the travel company’s 100-year history, the company told PBN Friday.

Leibl-Cote, who previously served as the firm’s executive vice president of product and tour management, is the daughter of Dan Sullivan Jr., current Collette CEO and former company president.

Calling his daughter’s promotion “significant not only to Collette, but to the travel industry as a whole,” Sullivan said, “she is one of very few women occupying senior leadership roles in the travel industry and serves as an inspiration to others.”

At the time of the Friday announcement, Sullivan has stepped down as president allowing Leibl-Cote to assume the position immediately.

Sullivan, however, will remain CEO.

As president, Leibl-Cote is now Sullivan’s official successor. Upon his retirement, she will become CEO and represent the third generation of the Sullivan family to lead the travel firm.

While a date for Sullivan’s retirement has not been announced by Collette, the company said the pair will be working together “for the next several years.”

This year marks Collette’s 100th year in business and to celebrate, starting Monday, June 18, the company will host a week-long celebration. More on the company’s centennial, and achievements over the past decade, can be read here.
