PROVIDENCE – In LendEdu’s top 50 college financial literacy programs rankings, Johnson & Wales University came in at No. 41, according to a recent report by the online student loan and refinancing company.
The report recognized JWU for its partnership with iGrad, a personal finance tool for students and recent graduates, which emphasizes the importance of financial literacy.
“Also available to students of JWU is an impressive roster of financial planning experts that can be made available for a one-on-one consultation upon request,” read LendEdu’s analysis.
“Johnson & Wales University is committed to student financial success by providing tools and resources to help students make lifelong educated financial decisions,” said Lynn Robinson, vice president of student academic & financial services. “Our team of financial planners provide students individual counseling to support financial well-being and to prepare them for the future. By utilizing tools such as iGrad, we continue to elevate our financial literacy programs by making them interactive and relatable.”
Texas Tech University out of Lubbock took top honors for its “Red to Black” financial literacy program. In second place was the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, and Syracuse University in New York came in third.
For the compilation, LendEdu used data from colleges and universities with financial literacy programs and compared three indicators: number of workshops and resources available, access to one-on-one financial consultation and incentivizing programs available.
