PROVIDENCE – The accounting firm Lefkowitz, Garfinkel, Champi and DeRienzo (LGC&D) has been named the winner of the American Society of Women Accountants Educational Foundation’s Balance Award in the industry-regional category.
Pamela Sawin, a principal at LGC&D, accepted the award on the firm’s behalf last week in Dallas at the joint national conference of ASWA and the American Woman’s Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Each year, the ASWA Educational Foundation recognizes “best in market” companies and individuals who have shown a commitment to work-life balance.
This national recognition came only weeks after LGC&D received, for the third consecutive year, the Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility. (READ MORE)
The Sloan Award is part of the “When Work Works” project, an ongoing initiative of Families and Work Institute, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Twiga Foundation to recognize businesses that are dedicated to making work “work” for the employer and the employees.
LGC&D is a regional accounting and business-advisory firm that provides an integrated model of estate, tax and financial services to clients throughout New England.
“Public accounting is a people business, and people and relationships are at the core of our business” Sawin said. “The firm recognizes the importance that continuity and staff loyalty play in providing quality service to its clients.”
