PROVIDENCE – The month of December is full of holiday-related events at the Lippitt House Museum, a Golden Age mansion in the Ocean State’s capital city.

On Thursday, Dec. 7, the museum will host an adult-only Scotch Tasting Party from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $100 per person and guests will be able to taste a number of different Scottish whiskies, pairing them with hors d’oeuvres.

The next week, children and families are invited to a Victorian Christmas affair in which guests are welcome to make Christmas tree decorations, create candy-filled Christmas crackers to pop open at the dinner table and read Victorian-era Christmas tales. Admission for this all-ages event is $10 for adults, $5 for students and free for children under 12 and military personnel.
