What is the best advice you have ever received? My father would often share two key messages when I was younger: “Be a leader, not a follower,” and “If you work hard, you will be successful.”
What advice would you give your 22-year-old self? Believe! Take the risk, make a mistake and learn from it, embrace new opportunities, and live in the moment.
What moment changed your life more than any other? The day my friend challenged me to go trapeze-flying. To say I was scared is an understatement. As Eleanor Roosevelt said, “You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.” I loved it. The moment taught me that I can do anything I put my mind to.
What is your favorite Rhode Island food or drink? Calamari.
