MassChallenge Rhode Island announces inaugural cohort

PROVIDENCE – MassChallenge Rhode Island announced its inaugural 30-startup cohort last week, chosen from nearly 400 applications.

The program includes four months of free office space in Providence, programming tailored for early-stage startups and access to corporate mentors and partners, according to the nonprofit.

The program will run from June through October, culminating at the MassChallenge Awards in Boston on October 17, where startups will compete for shares of $50,000 in equity-free awards. The program also features a startup showcase scheduled for July.

The cohort includes 12 Rhode Island startups as well as startups from around the United States and the globe.
