Jeff Potocsnak of Illinois donated his collection of Mr. Potato Head toys and figurines to Hasbro’s Children’s Hospital. Potocsnak and his family were joined at a breakfast reception by doctors, hospital staff and representatives from Hasbro Inc., the hospital’s namesake and creator of the Mr. Potato Head toy line.
The design and installation of the display case that houses the Mr. Potato Head Collection was paid for by the company. The collection will be displayed outside the Children’s Neurodevelopment Center.
“Because of Jeff’s incredible generosity, thousands of Rhode Islanders will be smiling every time they walk by this incredible display,” said Wayne Charness, senior vice president of corporate communications at Hasbro Inc.
The reception was held to thank Potocsnak for his generosity and to celebrate the fundraiser he created to further benefit the hospital. Online donations to “The Mr. Potato Head Campaign,” will directly fund the projects and services of the Healing Arts Program at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. •
