NEWPORT – New York-based Skanska USA Inc. received a $271.2 million contract to complete the second phase of construction on Pier 1 at Naval Station Newport in anticipation of four additional U.S. Coast Guard cutters slated to make the station their homeport, The U.S. Navy announced Wednesday.
