EAST GREENWICH – A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the New England Institute of Technology and the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute in Nassau, Bahamas, which will allow BTVI students to enroll in NEIT’s associate science and bachelor of science degree programs in information technology, marine technology and health sciences.
“These are very important sectors in the Bahamian economy and globally, and working with NEIT will afford more opportunities for our students and faculty,” said BTVI President Robert Robertson in a statement. “Specifically, the partnership will promote student and faculty exchanges, joint-faculty research, linked virtual classes and will include scholarships for BTVI students to attend NEIT to complete associate and bachelor degree programs.”
More than 1,600 students are currently enrolled at BTVI’s campuses in Nassau, Abaco and Freeport, Bahamas. Students are also able to participate in classes via online courses.
