NEIT ranks fifth in U.S. for online nursing program

EAST GREENWICH – New England Institute of Technology ranked fifth out of 50 colleges and universities across the country by Top RN to BSN for its online registered nurse to bachelor of science in nursing program, the university announced today.

According to Top RN to BSN, an online resource on nursing degree programs and careers, all schools and nursing programs ranked are regionally accredited, in addition to being ranked by U.S. News and World Report for reputability. Affordability (based on non-resident tuition) and perceived success (based on alumni salary data gathered from the Department of Education’s College Scorecard website) were also considered.

The RN to BSN program at NEIT is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. It provides flexible and affordable education for currently licensed registered nurses and is designed to be convenient for the working professional. It is a part-time program tailored to the needs of adult learners, with 10-week-long courses with four terms annually.

The top RN to BSN program ranked was at the CUNY of Professional Design, with the University of Arkansas’ program coming in as runner up. The online RN to BSN program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst ranked third, followed by West Texas A&M University. Also in Massachusetts, Fitchburg State University ranked number 17.
