EAST GREENWICH – New England Institute of Technology hosted its Tech Nite Feb. 6 at the university’s East Greenwich campus.
Attendees got tours of the campus, as well as the Post Road and Access Road campuses, and had the opportunity to speak with faculty, discuss the application process with members of the admissions staff and hear from the university’s career-services director on what NEIT offers and how it dovetails what employers need in terms of hiring.
Financial aid officers, meanwhile, worked with students and their parents on completing Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA paperwork.
Visitors toured the new housing facilities in the “smart-technology” residence hall, and the student center with its 8,000-square-foot fitness center and high-tech gaming areas. The residence hall, opened this past fall, is the first housing on the campus. Industry-specific labs were also open to prospective students and their families.
The university offers more than 55 associate, bachelor’s, master’s and online degree programs.
