Camp programs students can choose to attend include architectural technology, criminal justice, digital media production, electronic engineering, cybersecurity, video game design, mechanical engineering and automotive technology.

“Our annual Tech Camp program gives high school students the opportunity to explore high-tech, high-demand careers,” said Douglas H. Sherman, senior vice president and provost at New England Tech. “We are so pleased that students from the Providence Public School Department will be joining us this year.”

The camp is open to all high school juniors and seniors. This year, New England Tech’s partnership with Providence Public Schools will allow 25 students who qualify for the free and reduced lunch program at a Providence school to attend Tech Camp for free.

Interested students must complete the application found HERE by Monday, May 22. The Providence Public Schools Office of Career and Technical Education will review the applications before forwarding them to New England Tech. Should more than 25 Providence students apply, Providence Public Schools will hold a lottery to select the 25 students to receive a free place at Tech Camp.

“Summer learning loss is a significant issue in K-12 education,” said Christopher Maher, superintendent of Providence Public Schools. “Hands-on summer programs keep kids engaged in the process of learning year-round. With Tech Camp, students can build new STEM skills while they explore emerging career options.”

Tech Camp class sizes are limited, so early registration is encouraged. For additional information, contact Erin Flynn, NEIT’s manager of admissions outreach and events at eflynn@neit.edu or by phone at (401) 739-5000, ext. 3462. To learn more about New England Tech, visit www.neit.edu.
