New health center opens for Planned Parenthood of R.I.

In marking its 75th anniversary, Planned Parenthood of Rhode Island is expanding its health services and hosting an open house of its new Express Health Center at 183 Angell St. in Providence this Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Planned Parenthood board members and staff will be on hand as attendees are welcome to learn more about the new center and services and tour the facility.

The new center opened May 22 and offers brief medical visits for women, men and teens, such as contraceptive products, emergency contraception, pregnancy tests, STI and HIV testing and referrals to Planned Parenthood’s Point Street health center for more extensive reproductive health needs and annual exams.
