MIDDLETOWN — The Newport Athletic Club, which has operated at 66 Valley Road
for 21 years, has been bought by a group of Newport County residents led by the
general manager of the club, Kevin Buck. In addition to the club here, the principals
said they would also operate Waterfront Fitness on Thames Street in Newport. Terms
of the purchase were not disclosed.
