Newport Hospital to host heart failure talk

NEWPORT – On Tuesday, September 1, Newport Hospital is hosting a free community lecture about how to live with heart failure.

The discussion will be led by Dr. George Charlton of The Cardiovascular Institute at Rhode Island, The Miriam and Newport hospitals.

“Heart failure is a serious, chronic condition that requires responsible self care,” Dr. Charlton said in a statement, “but with proper management and attention to lifestyle choices, heart failure patients live longer and more independently than ever before.”
