North Easton Machine Co. wins MassMEP award for manufacturing leadership

EASTON – The Massachusetts Manufacturing Extension Project awarded its second annual Manufacturing Leadership Award to the North Easton Machine Co. for its excellence in training a skilled workforce, MassMEP announced Tuesday.

“Their consistent emphasis on training programs for their employees has led them to a leadership position in Massachusetts for on-site workforce development,” said John Killam, president of MassMEP in a prepared statement.

The award, named in honor of MassMEP’s founding president, Jack Healy, celebrates those making strides in manufacturing excellence and best practices.

“We believe that to achieve workforce growth, we must employ a multi-pronged approach,” said Paul Martel, human resource manager for North Easton Machine, a parts manufacturer and milling company current headed by Jon Holbrook. Founded in 1964 by Donald Holbrook, North Easton Machine Co. has seen the support of four generations of the Holbrook family.
