WARWICK, R.I. — James Kirpatrick, financial representative at the Warwick office of Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance, has been named an “Outstanding Volunteer” by the company’s foundation.
According to the company, Northwestern Mutual holds an annual Community Service Award program each year, open to more than 7,500 of the company’s representatives.
Kirpatrick was honored Tuesday at the company’s annual meeting for his work with the Literacy Volunteers. The Northwestern Mutual Foundation said it intends to present a $10,000 check to the organization next month.
Kirpatrick has volunteered at Literacy Volunteers for the past 10 years, and currently serves as its president.
Eighteen other “Outstanding Volunteers” were honored, and each will have a $10,000 grant designated for the non-profit organization they serve, the company said.
