MIDDLETOWN – The Naval Undersea Warfare Center has renewed a $49.6 million contract with Rite-Solutions Inc. for the company’s support of the NUWC Activity Chief Information Officer/ Information Technology division, Rite-Solutions announced Monday.
The contract will extend for five years until Sept. 30, 2023. The original contract was for three years but had been extended to a fourth year.

The company told PBN it estimates roughly 90 workers will be required to support the contract, which will likely mean a staffing increase.
Per the contract, Rite-Solutions will provide NUWC IT services in several areas, the company noted, including software engineering, client support services/help desk, Navy Marine Corps Intranet support, and IT governance and application portfolio-management support, among other responsibilities.
“Cybersecurity touches every one of these areas,” said Rocky Reeves, Rite-Solutions vice president and director of IT services, in a statement, noting the U.S. Navy has strict cybersecurity and cyber-information-technology workforce requirements.
“This was a major reason Rite-Solutions won the contract,” continued Reeves. “Many of our employees have degrees in cybersecurity or computer science as well as security and operating system certifications.”
The contract covers NUWC Division Newport as well as NUWC divisions in Connecticut, Virginia, Florida and the Bahamas.
Rite-Solutions had 125 local employees, according to PBN’s 2018 Book of Lists. The company also has offices in Connecticut, Washington, D.C., and Virginia.
