PROVIDENCE – The Ocean House Management Collection, which operates the Ocean House, Weekapaug Inn and Watch Hill Inn in Westerly, will manage a premier property in the Berkshires of Massachusetts as part of its portfolio.
The company has been hired by the new owner of the Blantyre in Lenox, Mass., to oversee a multimillion-dollar renovation and relaunch of the historical resort.
Blantyre is one of the most opulent resorts in the Berkshire Mountains, and dates to 1902, according to an online description. It is a Forbes Five-Star resort and will be updated and relaunched in April. It sits on a country estate of 110 acres. The Tudor-style house includes eight guest rooms in the main house, 11 in the carriage house and four cottages.
The management agreement was announced in January by Blantyre owner Linda S. Law, a California real estate developer and investor.
