NORTH KINGSTOWN – Ocean State Job Lot is offering first responders and public safety professionals a 25 percent discount at any of its retail locations from March 22-28 as part of its 10th annual “Savings 911” discount week, the company said Tuesday.
“While most of us are trying to stay away from danger, first responders and public safety professionals are running towards it,” said David Sarlitto, executive director of the Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation, in a statement. “Ocean State Job Lot is honored to recognize and thank these men and women for their dedication to keeping our communities safe, and hope all will take advantage of our Savings 911 offer.”

The company noted that more than 12,000 first responders and public safety professionals used the discount in 2017 for a cumulative savings of $250,000.
The company requires professional photo identification to be included in the promotion from the following: certified first responders, police or law enforcement personnel, firefighters (career and voluntary), emergency medical technician or ambulance personnel, federal, state and local emergency management, relief agency personnel, Coast Guard personnel, federal and state correctional officers, emergency room and certified medical professionals.
