Taking the plunge
The WARM Center and the center’s Welcome House of Peace Dale will hold its 17th annual Penguin Plunge on Sunday, Jan. 1, at noon at the Windjammer Surf Bar, 321 Atlantic Ave., Westerly. More than 250 participants are expected to take a cold plunge into the ocean on New Year’s Day to help support the organization and fight hunger and homelessness in Rhode Island.
