Welcome to Wakanda

Mixed Magic Theatre, 560 Mineral Spring Ave., Pawtucket, will host its “Welcome to Wakanda: A Black Panther Affair” fundraiser, celebrating family, community and culture on Saturday, March 17, at 8 p.m. The event, which will benefit the theater’s programs and assist in maintaining affordable ticket prices, will feature live entertainment, ethnic foods, vendors and exhibits. Benefiting local veterans

Operation Stand Down will hold its annual Steak Fry benefiting local veterans in need on Saturday, March 24, from 1-6 p.m. at the Smithfield Elks Lodge, 326 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Women helping women

Crossroads Rhode Island will hold its annual “Women Helping Women” event on Wednesday, April 4, 5:30-7:30 p.m., at the Providence Biltmore Hotel, 11 Dorrance St., Providence. The event will include cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a brief speaking program and a chance to network with over 300 prominent women in the community. Tickets cost $100. Connecting Lives with Art

Art Connection Rhode Island will hold its seventh annual “Connecting Lives with Art” fundraiser on Wednesday, April 4, from 5:30-8 p.m. at Slater Mill, 67 Roosevelt Ave., Pawtucket. The event will celebrate achievements in Rhode Island art, and feature storyteller Len Cabral and Alison Bologna, founder and director of Shri Yoga and WJAR-TV NBC 10 news anchor, respectively. Music entertainment, a cash bar, food, a silent auction and art sale will also be part of the festivities. Tickets cost $40 in advance and $45 at the door. San Miguel School will hold its 13th annual Gala and Miguel Medal Ceremony on Friday, April 6, 5:30-9 p.m., at the Pawtucket Armory Arts Center, 172 Exchange St., Pawtucket. The event will feature the Miguel Medal ceremony, student performances, a student art gallery, silent and live auctions, Fund-A-Need opportunities, a raw bar and pasta station, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Gamm’s Gala

The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre will host its annual fundraiser to support the theater’s productions and educational programs, Gamm Gala 33, on Monday, April 9, at 6 p.m. at the Pawtucket Armory, 172 Exchange St., Pawtucket. The event, which celebrates the theater’s 15 years at the armory, will honor Leon C. Boghossian III with the David Wax Award for Outstanding Commitment to the Arts.
