Serenade the night

Sojourner House will host its ninth annual Masquerade Ball, themed “Moonlight Serenade,” on Friday, Nov. 15, from 7-11 p.m. at Graduate Providence, 11 Dorrance St., Providence. The 21-plus event will have a cocktail hour, live and silent auctions, music by The Hasbro “Toys to Men” Band, a cash bar and a cake competition by Rhode Island Food Fights. The dress code is black tie/cocktail attire, but attendees are encouraged to wear purple and/or silver. Tickets cost $100 and proceeds will support the nonprofit that offers programs and services to support victims of domestic and sexual violence, children who witness abuse, and the greater Rhode Island community. I got Bingo!

Saint Vincent’s Services will host its inaugural Bada Bingo: The AIN’T Your Grandma’s Bingo event on Saturday, Nov. 16, starting at 7 p.m. at the Eagle Event Center, 35 North Main St., Fall River. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Twenty Bingo games will take place and attendees will have the opportunity to win multiple prizes. Live entertainment and appetizers will also be offered. Tickets cost $40 and all proceeds will benefit the organization’s Life Skill program. The program provides adolescents with resources such as driving lessons, job placement, career exploration, cooking classes and college search assistance. Dinner for the bay

Sarto Restaurant will hold a fundraiser dinner in support of Save The Bay Inc. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 6-9 p.m. at the restaurant, 86 Dorrance St., Providence. The evening will include a cocktail reception and a four-course dinner in support of the local organization dedicated to help preserve Narragansett Bay. Tickets cost $125. Life, liberty, beer

The Varnum Continentals will hold its 10th annual Life. Liberty. Beer: Raise A Glass to History fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 6-9 p.m. at the Varnum Armory, 6 Main St., East Greenwich. The event will feature an array of artisan beers, food, raffles and museum tours. Tickets cost $30 and proceeds will support the historic preservation of the armory. Honoring veterans

The Rhode Island Veterans’ Home Community Living Center will hold its fundraising event titled A Veterans Affair: Festival of Trees on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 6-9 p.m. at the center, 480 Metacom Ave., Bristol. The evening will include recognition of chosen honorees, a silent auction, raffles and hors d’oeuvres. Walking it off

St. Luke’s School will hold its annual Trot Off Your Turkey 5K/1.5-Mile Run/Walk event on Saturday, Nov. 30, beginning at 10 a.m. at the school, 10 Waldron Ave., Barrington. The event will take runners and walkers through the neighborhoods surrounding St. Luke’s School and Parish. There will also be raffle prizes and a post-race party. Proceeds raised will support the school and its operations. Registration costs $20 for adults and $12 for children ages 14 and younger. Dancing days

Children’s Wishes, a local organization that helps grant wishes for children in Rhode Island who are battling illnesses and medical challenges, will hold its annual Wishing for Tomorrow Country Dance Benefit on Saturday, Nov. 30, from 7-11:30 p.m. at Mishnock Barn, 200 Mishnock Road, West Greenwich.
