Product: EasyWeb – A browser based system that makes it easy for anyone to become his or her own Webmaster. It operates on the principle that content contained within a Web site should be easy to update and maintain by the Web site owner. Web sites can be easily updated by logging onto the EasyWeb site, then cutting and pasting text from a document in your computer’s word processing package. ABT, which focuses on developing Web sites and Internet strategies, offers unlimited updating service starting at $50 a month. The system requires no HTML training and does not require customers to buy or install software. Customers can build a searchable database. It includes product selling and revenue generating features.
Market: For small businesses with limited resources or large companies that need to use their Web site as a vehicle for sales, advertising, or customer service.

Product: NOVOFLEX Mid Web Flexo Press Plus – It’s an eight-color mid-web press. The company, which has an office in Lincoln, will be showing the press for the first time in North America at a Chicago trade show in April. It was introduced at company headquarters in Lengerich, Germany, last month. NOVOFLEX is the first C.I. flexo press to successfully offer the capability to run infinitely variable repeat lengths, according to company literature. It can help reduce the overall cost of flexo printing. Among the machine’s best features: the ability to run any repeat length with no gear pitch limitations using advanced AC vector digital drive technology; lightweight sleeves for plate cylinders and anilox rolls, with a semi-automatic sleeve change system; optimized winder, web tension and draw unit control using digital AC vector drive technology.

Product: SprintScan 4000 – Polaroid says this is the “world’s first” 4,000 dots per inch (dpi) film scanner, which produces scanned images in under one minute. It is part of the Polaroid (NYSE: PRD) SprintScan line of high-performance scanners and was introduced Feb. 16 and will be made available in March. It scans professional quality 35-millimeter slides, filmstrips and Advanced Photo System film formats without compromise. SprintScan 4000 produces output with a true optical resolution of 4,000 dpi and an optical density of 3.4 in under one minute. Some competing products now on the market produce images with 2,700 dpi and a 3.2 optical density in the same amount of time. For fast and easy film handling, the scanner provides a system for automatically managing multiple images.
The product is bundled with PolaColor Insight Pro software. This innovative software provides a simple user interface that is ideal for basic and advanced scanning tasks. It automatically removes and eliminates surface flaws such as dust, scratches and fingerprints, and features split screen preview and automatic image sizing and saving scan settings. In addition to the Insight Pro software, SprintScan 4000 is also bundled with Adobe PhotoDeluxe. Suggested list price of the new scanner is $2,495.

Product: NetTracker 4.0 – Updated version of the company’s Internet usage tracking software, which was released on Feb. 1. It includes some new features designed to benefit companies engaged in electronic commerce, as well as Internet service providers. The software is available in Professional ($495) and Enterprise ($995-$9,995) versions. The Professional version is designed to provide marketing decision makers, Web masters, systems administrators and ISPs with detailed information about the use of a single Internet or intranet site. NetTracker 4.0’s Enterprise version can analyze multiple Web sites, proxy servers, firewalls and FTP servers. This allows corporations to analyze all of their inbound site traffic, as well as their employees’ Internet use.
Among the new features: The use of cookies for accurate user tracking and for linking Web visitor data with other customer data; the ability to archive older reports to save disk space, reducing data storage costs; linking tracking capabilities to identify which sites visitors go to when they leave a Web site; server performance reporting capabilities; and the ability to analyze multiple Web servers, proxy servers, firewall and FTP server log files (Enterprise version only)
Market: Any company or organization with a Web site that wants to know who’s visiting the site. ISPs and Web hosting companies are an obvious target market.
