Providence Children’s Museum Launches ‘Thrive Drive’
Proceeds Benefit New Discovery Studio

PROVIDENCE, RI – Community members are invited to participate in Providence Children’s Museum’s “Thrive Drive,” an online fundraiser running through July 1 that supports the creation of the new Discovery Studio.

Discovery Studio, opening July 7, is a vibrant space for children’s open-ended art and science exploration that will inspire discovery and creative play with a selection of rotating activities and an array of interesting materials, coupled with challenges and ideas for investigation.

The Thrive Drive and Discovery Studio will also help Providence Children’s Museum raise awareness about the importance of creative play for children’s healthy development.

“We need to nurture childhood creativity and ensure it extends into adulthood,” said Museum Executive Director Janice O’Donnell. “One important way to do this is to provide plenty of opportunities for open-ended play and exploration. Discovery Studio, the new play and learning environment at the Museum, is designed to do just that.”

To support the Thrive Drive and the creation of Discovery Studio, individuals can visit www.firstgiving.com/ThriveDrivePCM and either create a personal fundraising page or choose to donate directly to the effort.

Thrive Drive supporters and their families and friends will be invited to a special celebration in July to officially open Discovery Studio, plus the top five fundraisers over $500 will receive a free Providence Children’s Museum membership.

Join the Thrive Drive and help make Discovery Studio a reality! For more information, contact Denise Costello at costello@childrenmuseum.org or (401) 273-5437 ext. 118.
