PROVIDENCE – During the Providence Rotary Club’s “Making a Difference” Street Painting Festival on Oct. 14 local artists will draw 3-D pictures on the floor of the Alex and Ani City Center at Kennedy Plaza.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place from 12 to 6 p.m. and will include a separate area for children to experiment with street painting as well as performances by local bands.

According to Art Norwalk, a spokesperson for the local Rotary club, previous festivals have drawn hundreds of participants and raised roughly $20,000 for the Providence Rotary Charities Foundation.

All proceeds from this year’s festival will also support the foundation, which provides grant money to local nonprofits. For more information about how you can register to be an artist or perform on the main stage, go to www.providencerotary.org.
