PROVIDENCE – In 2019, homebrewers from across the nation will descend upon Providence as Rhode Island’s capital city hosts the 2019 American Homebrewers Association’s annual Homebrew Con – a contest and conference for United States-based homebrewers.
The announcement was made at the close of this year’s Homebrew Con held in Portland, Ore. and the organization has updated its website to reflect the decision.

Recent AHA data shows the 2017 Homebrew Con in Minneapolis, Minn. drew 2,600 attendees while the 2016 conference had 3,000 attendees.
Per the Providence Warwick Convention and Visitors Bureau’s website, the tourism agency expects 3,200 people to attend the 2019 conference.
Providence’s hosting of the event marks American Homebrew Association’s first return to New England since 1991 when the conference was held in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Commencing on Wed., June 27, the 2019 event will be held through Sat., June 30. Each year, Homebrew Con registration is completed on a first-come, first-served basis with more information available on the AHA website. Prices range from $240 for a “social Package” to $290 for the “Full Conference” package to $355 for the “Homebrew Industry” package open only to owners and employees of homebrew retail stores, wholesalers and suppliers.
Founded in 1978, the AHA boasts a membership of more than 46,000 homebrewers and beer enthusiasts.
