P&W inks 8-year deal with maintenance workers

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Providence and Worcester Railroad Co. (AMEX: PWX) today announced an eight-year agreement with the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen.
“We are pleased with the results of the negotiations and believe this agreement is good for both the company and the union,” said P&W President P. Scott Conti.

The railroad also has eight-year contracts with the Transportation Communications International Union, representing all its clerical workers, and the United Transportation Union, representing its train service workers. The TCIU pact was announced in August and the UTU agreement in October 2005.
