PROVIDENCE – The R.I. Commerce Corp. has launched a new summer-long digital advertising campaign with local advertising firms Nail Communications and RDW Group. The campaign will appear on consumer websites, paid advertising on Bing and Google, and targeted ads on social media, RICC announced Thursday.
The campaign features photographs and art from throughout the state, including images of the Newport Pell Bridge, the Rhode Island State House, lighthouses, and sailboats, with treatment that incorporates portions of the scenery into the words ‘Rhode Island.’

“Our focus is on highly-targeted parameters based on our research, in a strategic effort to reach consumers on their mobile phones, on social media, and when they’re browsing the web,” said RICC’s chief marketing officer Lara Salamano. “This campaign is our way of ‘fishing where the fish are’ while at the same time being smart with our resources.”
The RICC plans to review the campaigns throughout the summer with a target for a new campaign in the fall and winter seasons.
