PROVIDENCE – Self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline prices in Rhode Island decreased 1 cent this week to average $2.57 per gallon, according to AAA Northeast Monday.

“High demand and falling supply levels are keeping prices from dropping quickly following the post-hurricane spikes,” said Lloyd Albert, AAA Northeast senior vice president of public and government affairs. “Crude oil prices are also at 2017 highs, and at least in the short term, drivers will see it contribute to prices at the pump changing only slightly or in some cases increasing.”
