PROVIDENCE – The average price of self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline remained unchanged this week, averaging $2.36 per gallon, 6 cents lower than the national average of $2.42 per gallon and 20 cents lower than prices in the state at this time last year, according to AAA Northeast Monday.
Prices in the Ocean State ranged 36 cents from $2.23 to $2.59 per gallon.
- Midgrade gas averaged $2.61 per gallon this week, ranging from $2.44 to $2.69 per gallon
- Premium gas averaged $2.84 per gallon, ranging from $2.64 to $3.03 per gallon
- Diesel fuel averaged $3.03 per gallon, ranging from $2.85 to $3.13 per gallon
In Massachusetts, the average price of regular gas also remained unchanged this week at $2.36 per gallon, 6 cents lower than the national average and 14 cents lower year over year.
Prices in the Bay State ranged 88 cents from $2.17 to $3.05 per gallon.
- Midgrade gas averaged $2.60 per gallon, ranging from $2.35 to $2.99 per gallon
- Premium gas averaged $2.84 per gallon, ranging from $2.57 to $3.29 per gallon
- Diesel fuel averaged $2.98 per gallon, ranging from $2.79 to $3.29 per gallon
