R.I. monthly unemployment falls to 3.7% in August

CRANSTON – Rhode Island’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in August was 3.7%, down from 3.9% in July, the R.I. Department of Labor and Training said Thursday.  The U.S. unemployment rate was 4.1% in August, same as July, according to the DLT.  Both the Rhode Island and U.S. jobless rates were 4.3% in August 2025.
