PROVIDENCE – Pandemic Unemployment Assistance filings totaled 12,943 last week, a decline from 19,817 one week prior, according to the R.I. Department of Labor and Training Tuesday.

All PUA filings in Rhode Island have totaled 166,955 to date. This is the second week of PUA declines week to week, after cresting at 22,465 in the week of July 20-26.

COVID-19-specific Unemployment Insurance filings totaled 3,176 last week, exactly level with one week prior. All COVID-19-related UI filings have totaled 199,462 in the state to date.

Regular UI filings totaled 873, a decline from 924 one week prior.

All unemployment filings in the state since March 9, including PUA filings, have totaled 386,875.

Temporary Disability Insurance filings related to COVID-19 totaled 134 last week, an increase from 127 one week prior. To date, all COVID-19 TDI filings have totaled 14,534. All TDI filings since March 9 have totaled 33,162.
